Using your Laptop on the Road.

I will try here to give as much information as I can about traveling with your laptop and what you might need to go along with it. There are lots of folks out there that have been traveling with a laptop for a number of years. If any of you can think of anything that should be added to this article, please  . The idea is to get as much info out as possible.

A laptop can be powered by several sources. Naturally with regular electric at an RV Park, the battery that comes with the laptop, an adaptor cord that plugs into the cigarette lighter or power receptical and it can also be powered by an inverter or generator. We travel with a 500 watt inverter and use it to power our computers and TV's when in areas with no power. The inverter runs off the RV batteries. If you are going to be using  Wi-Fi, then you will need a Cardbus adapter or  USB adapter. If you are going to be connecting using a phone line, you will need a  modem, most all laptops come with them.
