Create your own stationery with Outlook Express

To create your own holiday stationery
1. In Outlook Express, choose Tools> Options, and then click the Compose tab.
2. In the Stationery area, click to check the Mail option. Then click Create New to start the Stationery Setup Wizard.

3. Click Next to move beyond the introductory screen of the Wizard. In the Background screen of the wizard, you can:

-- Click Picture to apply a background picture. You can choose one of the default stationery papers from the list, or click Browse to choose from your own images or papers.

--Click Color to add a background color for your page.(Tip: Pick a background color that will make your letter easy to read. Very bright colors can be jarring, and if you choose a dark background color you’ll want to choose a font color that provides enough contrast for the text to be legible.) When you’ve finished choosing your background, click Next.

4. In the Font screen, choose the font, size, and color for your letter, keeping in mind the background image or color that you chose in the previous step. Then click Next.

5. In the Margins screen, adjust the margins for your letter, if necessary, to accommodate the background image or color you added. Then click Next.

6. In the Complete screen, give your stationery a name, and then click Finish. The wizard closes.

7. Back in the Options window, which should still be open (and if it’s not, choose Tools > Options and click the Compose tab), click Select, choose the stationery you just created, and click OK. Then click OK to close the Options window.

Note: When you choose stationery, Outlook Express will use it for all your e-mail messages until you turn it off or choose different stationery. You can quickly change your stationery settings in the same way you set up your stationery: choose Tools Options, click the Compose tab, and either uncheck Mail, or click Select to choose different stationery.
