Boondocking with your RV

If you have a Motorhome, 5TH Wheel or Travel Trailer that is equipped with a generator, then you already know that boondocking or dry camping is an option. Even if you don't have a built in generator, there are many ways that you can join the Rver's that are taking advantage of the freedom that comes with camping outside of the traditional RV Park. Some like the privacy, some like the wilderness and some just enjoy getting off the beaten path.

You can purchase portable generators that in most cases cost much less then a built in type. There is also Solar Power, Wind Power and Inverters that run from your RV batteries. We enjoy places like Quartzsite and with our 4000w portable generator we can run anything we want in our 5th wheel. We also have a 500w inverter for running our computers and tv's, for those times when we do not want the generator running.
